Parent's Zone

With the rise of an information-rich society, we will use this platform to share news and updates about home–school activities. Our goal is to help parents understand the outcomes and benefits of positive parenting approaches.

Today, parents are increasingly able to make use of available resources to learn about children's developmental needs at different stages. With this in mind, we have set up “Parents' Zone, a dedicated platform that brings together expertise and support from professionals, families, schools, and community resources to nurture children’s growth.

Through this platform, we aim to:

• enhance parents’ parenting knowledge and wisdom
• strengthen collaboration among families, schools, and the community
• spread messages of goodness, sincerity, and beauty together
• help everyone come to understand the meaning of positive life education

The Parenting Education Institute extends its services to meet community needs. It partners with nearby churches to co-organize home–school collaborative activities, and establishes a Family Service Centre to provide support to families.

Key measures include:

• Setting up a family support service and mobilizing community resources to care for children and families in need.
• Forming the “Rainbow Angels” Parent Volunteer Team, bringing parents together to work hand in hand in supporting one another and the wider community.
• Building and implementing positive discipline parent education courses, guided by principles of calm and firm parenting.
• Promoting the idea that love and relationships connect family members, strengthening emotional bonds at home.
• Encouraging all school teachers and staff to walk alongside parents, working together to nurture children’s positive growth.
• Supporting children to become active and joyful “good kids”, helping them develop holistically and equipping them for the needs of Hong Kong’s future development.

To care for children and support parents, the school places Positive Life Education at the core of its curriculum values. We believe that home and school must work together in order to cultivate children's good character.

Therefore, the school continues to implement a home–school collaborative family education program, including:

Weekend Parents Education Class: “Raising Children with Positive Discipline”

Parents and educators learn together the mindset behind effective parenting. Through shared learning, we help children grow along an active and joyful path.
